Music That Feeds The Soul

LIVE AND UNPLUGGED – MUZART FIVE SOULFUL MUSICIANS WITH TALENT PLUS

NuSoul Groove Live Band with a few SAMA and MMA nominations behind them @MuZart_Music

MuzArt: Sol "Stringer" Mosetle, Victor “Vic” Chauke,  Rorisang "Rori" Thandekiso, Jabu Junior  Kanyile and Tshegofatso "Tazzy" Lehutso

If you looking for soul sounds mixed with a little bit of hip-hop and jazz and a gospel cherry on top, this is an album for you or live performers for your next event or gig!
I heard a live unplugged performance of MuzArt’s on Radio 2000FMSA this morning while commuting during The Collective 2000 show. Moemedi - gospel song (Lyrics: “He has started a good work in me, I’m more than a conqueror”).  A nice piece entitled ‘Long Long Time’ and then ending their session with their second single 'The Party After'.  This single described as “a disco infused skate jam that is burning up South African radio” is something else – the singers are totally at ease and in the zone performing live on radio.
We are spoilt for choice when it comes to radio listening.  Just as well with the lengthy travel times that most people endure on a daily basis and most of my radio listening takes place in the car.
Radio 2000 changed its offering on 6 June 2014

It aims to be a uniquely South African adult contemporary radio station

Arno Carstens, X Factor judge which launches in September 2014 was billed as being “in the line-up of performance that will switch public perception in the station as a sports station".  Radio 2000’s vision is to become the ultimate radio station for the new South Africa, catering for all cultures and races within the diverse South African landscape.

Advertisers responded favourably

Carlito Sheikh, station manager, said: "The station has come a long way since the days of the station being known as Springbok Radio or Radio South Africa. Radio 2000 was born on 1 January, 1986.
The station audiences and advertisers have begun responding favourably to the new music offering on the station. We are in the process of creating a uniquely South African adult contemporary station - a position left vacant in the radio landscape nationally."  Radio 2000 wants to take South Africans on a timeless journey that will take them back to a special place in their lives that creates nostalgia.

Tuning in today for an hour and a bit of travel time was a real treat.  My timing was perfect enjoying cruising through the traffic to the beat of Goldfish and a more reflective Ross from Prime Circle.  The Collective could just be the “coolest, coolest, show on the airwaves” inclusive of interesting guests, topics, their music played for our memories plus live, unplugged South African musicians who are exceptionally talented!  If this morning was anything to go by the soulful sounds, soothing, sometimes upbeat and at times romantic melodies are a mix that is totally amaze balls.

YOLO – You only live once and the team make it happen each and every minute!  Jamming in the traffic is preferential to traffic jams………..
room for yet another band
Muzart consists of five uniquely gifted individuals, sharing a common passion for timeless music. We have Rorisang (Rori) Thandekiso (TV personality, lead vocalist and the rose among the thorns), Tshegofatso (Tazzy) Lehutso (music producer, songwriter and vocalist), Victor (Vic) Chauke (producer, engineer and keyboardist), Nkanyiso (Jabu Junior) Khanyile (DJ and promoter) and Sol (Stringer) Mosetle (guitar specialist).

music style
Muzart say it’s a new experimental sound that is very hard to categorise.  If they had to describe it they would say it’s a combination of soul, jazz, gospel on house beat.  Some refer to it as nu jazz, rhythmic soul or Acid Jazz/Lounge.  But they would rather not label it because it’s quite experimental.
