Kids vs Proteas Tour 2014 Launch
The second season of the KFC Mini-Cricket Kids vs Proteas Tour has a
first prize of winners getting to play with their school team against the
Proteas at a live curtain raiser to the KFC T20 International Series against
West Indies in January 2015.The season launched on Saturday at Wanderers stadium with great enthusiasm and energy from all the young cricket fans and Zac the Proteas and SA Cricket mascot very much a part of the KFC launch event which the Proteas managed to clinch!
KFC bringing the public three great prizes through this competition, and the main prize includes three winners and their Mini-Cricket teams meeting their cricketing heroes on the pitch to play for the title.
The
chosen teams from Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town along with their team
coach will be mentored by one of three former Proteas players.

Durban = Mfuneko Ngam; Cape Town = Graeme Smith; Gauteng = Neil McKenzie
The
former Proteas will be acting as Assistant Coaches to the winning school teams
and will play an active role in the team’s preparation and build up to the tour
games with exclusive training sessions and warm up games at the Ram Slam T20
Challenge taking place in the three regions.
Not
only will the teams have three assistant coaches, they will play a number of
Protea Players including the female team during the Tour.
Future Cricket Heroes
The
aim is for the KFC Mini-Cricketers, is to develop and grow the passion for the
game and the player’s skill possibly one day becoming cricket sporting greats
and South Africa’s future cricket heroes!
KFC Mini Cricket Prize Winners
The
first prize winners play with their school team against the Proteas at a live
curtain raiser to the KFC T20 International Series against West Indies in
January 2015. The second prize winners
will get active as ball boys and girls at the Ram Slam T20 Challenge games with
the rest of their school team and third place winners will receive KFC
Mini-Cricket sets including bats, stumps and balls.
